Whatever Happened to Sinister Evilution??

-SINISTER EVILUTION-

Sinister Evilution was created in the spring of 2007 by Statistik and E-mc Fraktal in lutz,Florida.While in another

heavy-headed session of drunken hateful lyrics and creative electronic musical production is how we accidentally

came by our name, we were talking about how much our music and independent productions have matured and grown.But

we also mentioned how much more evil the tunes have gotten even without the traditional heavy metal guitars,but we

threw sum in anyways.

well we are Statistik and E-mc Fraktal we have done many projects as ourselves and as others but a little

background on is:

Statistik- was created between 2005-2006 as I was honing my mic skills to make sure I was actually on level where I

wanted to be.It may not be as fast or as complex as some may like but it is all me I assure you.I started doing

beats in 2001-2002 on programs like Dj Red and Steinberg's Magix studio in 2001,but it wasn't til 2002 when a

friend gave me Fruity loops 3 which in all honesty I ditched due to it's unfriendly user interface at the time,it

was very confusing. BUT then I gave a copy to my partner E-mc Fraktal to figure-out.But it wasn't til 2005 in Tampa

that me and E-mc Fraktal reunited (thanks Myspace) That's when I really started writing and producing my own beats

and learned my way around a few programs.2005 through 2006 was spent doing collabs with E-mc Fraktal as Fraktal at

the time but we all have to evolve u know.

In 2006 After another miserable holiday season came the spring of 2007 where E-mc Fraktal and I were having another

drunken mid-day session when we came up with our moniker "Sinister Evilution" and for the next three months did

nothing but write and record for the four song ep we wanted to put out but life kept interfering u know.So somehow

we ended up disbanding and by a decent request we re-re-united but not before doing some of our own independent

projects, my solo(Statistik) stuff and E-mc Fraktal's countless projects as well.I did a guest track with E-mc Fraktal called

"Trash" for his (Fuel 4 H8tred) project very intense music glad to be a part of it.

In 2008 came the Dvd that we were thinking of releasing by june but that was stopped due to a lack of funds and

sobriety but not to fail our fans we are still gonna release it just not right now.since the collapse of the dvd

release we have not done anymore recordings as we find ourselves evolving yet again so we will see what

happens.never say never...Statistik...

E-mc Fraktal-uh yeah what he said,BUT I got my name from a close friend who was explaing fraktals to me and he said

it's like your music all of your projects sound like you but they don't sound anything alike in anyway,so then I

was intrigued with that reference so I ran with it until I was informed of a band called (fraktal) so not to

confuse the two I came up with a less closely modeled name of "E-mc Fraktal" which stands for experimental emcee

Fraktal which I felt allowed me to retain my metal roots but mix them with virtually everything musical which led

me to learn all aspects of recording on my own,which is how I became familiar with "Fruityloops" and the like.So I

mainly do alot of the technical studio stuff while also having to write and play on the tracks as we are a two-man

outfit,but it's a good balance it keeps recording fun.

So now we share the studio work as much as possible so we can continue to evolve and bring you the best music

Well hello again and welcome to another installment of "Fraktology 360". Today I wanna just make my peace with all the knowledge whores out there.First off I get it life is expensive, programs cost money rent is due and so are your student loan payments to Full Sail I get that BUT!! what I don't understand is how can some joe-anybody (like myself) have the nerve to make teaser videos on the net just to lure you into there websites to buy their Dvd's..(outrage!) Now if you are a PROFESSIONAL I am not talking bout you ,mainly because you ultimately have more important things to do other than peddle a 5 minute video on youtube to boost your Dvd sales or views. if you truly are a pro none of that applies to you.I am just talking bout the joe-everybody that figured out a new trick or a trick you learned on youtube or from your buddy who is in Full Sail taught you or whatever in the software of your choice,and now wants 50-80.00 for a tips and tricks Dvd..(nertz 2 dat!!)

Now what I plan to do about it is...Continue to bring my lil videos to you the public at the original cost of FREE!!! Because I have been real poor all of my life I have learned to make due with whatever I have to and I am greatful for everything I have (which isn't much these days) .But I do it because I wanna help the poor kid who has the ear for music but no means,the college student using (cracked software) to graduate his/her college courses just so they can afford to go legit. NOW!I am NOT saying I have all the answers,or that I'm a genius or nothin' but I do what I can to help.I hope my videos have been helpful to at least one person ,then it was worth it.

I don't want you to get the wrong idea.I have friends and family in the IT biz and I DO NOT CONDONE OR RECOMMEND THE USE OF WAREZED SOFTWARE EVER!! BUT I do understand the thirst for knowledge in whatever program you are using.so I dont care what your using I am just here to share my knowledge of music,ableton,vj'ing,and tattoos and yes it will always be FREE!!!

Me and my Apc40 and Ableton Live,a love story

well hello there bloggers of the net and beyond,greetings! and welcome to the first installment of "Fraktology 360".This is going to be fun ,at least i am hoping so lol.So today we begin with the Akai Apc40 and how it has impacted not only my life but all of our lives.

Ever since I was a kid (way back in the early 80's) I have always heard music in a loop.and quickly i learned the need for being able to improvise over these loops or phrases. but as a guitar player I saw that no matter what you played it was essentially a loop short or long it was a loop.the leads made it more dynamic,so I intergrated this theory with my all of my music.

So now we get to (Dubstep) ,Don't worry all this is relevant I promise. Dubstep follows this method by having not only heavy sub bass and droning basslines,the bass is very dynamic.So this is where the (Apc40) comes in.as a producer I hated the jamming you could do in the lab but not in public without having an arsenal of midi gear or at least expensive gear.my approach musically has always been the same "spend next to nothing,to create EVERYTHING" nothing is free (I know) but as close to it as you can LEGALLY get, I applaud that.but you don't need the whole protools hd rig and so on,just Ableton live and an Apc40. This thing has made creating music so much faster than I ever thought possible.there are a wagon load of customization links available out there i recommend Bome's Midi Translator Pro http://www.bome.com it rules.

     The Apc40 is so user friendly I believe even my hamster could use it. I'm not going to get all involved with the processes mainly because ,well you know it's my first real blog. but aside from that go here and buy one http://www.americanmusical.com/Item--i-AKA-APC40 I heavily recommend using them,it's my own opinion I do not recieve any compensation for my opinions..(would be nice but I don't) I just say that in all my years in dealing with this company I haven't had a bad experience yet.its been a great 5 years.

The term fractal was coined in 1975 by BenoÃï¿½t Mandelbrot, from the Latin fractus, meaning "broken" or "fractured." & it is a 3 year old nickname...eye always thought it sukked but it is growing on me...what ya think??
